National Car Care Month

April is National Car Care Month! (apparently so is October...) Basically, it's the time of year to give your car a solid once, in some cases twice, vehicle version of a physical. Winter and mud months can take a toll on your vehicle's health. Between the cold, the snow, the salt from the roads, the mud and rocks getting into every nook and cranny they can find, and Mother Nature's personally crafted speed bumps commonly referred to as potholes, ruts, frost heaves and washboards.

This is kind of what my driveway looks like right about meow! Fortunately I take care of my car and you should too! Love your vehicle and it will love you.

So check your tires, check and change your oil, and every other fluid, transmission, brake, coolant, power steering etc. Air filters are too often forgotten and when they get all clogged up with sadness (well dirt and such really) they lose that get up and go umpf. Replace your wiper blades, you'll be amazed at how much you can actually see through a clean windshield. Be nice to your brakes and be extra nice to your struts, shocks, axles and such as all the bumps and holes in the roads can make the ride feel like you're a rag doll (as my daughter says) and can do some serious damage to your vehicle. Plus they're not cheap when they break, trust me. If you don't know how to do these things, well guess what?
